Privacy policy · Effective 25 August 2026
Your screen stays on your Mac.
LivePin is designed to display the window, file, website or camera you choose without collecting its contents.
Screen content
LivePin uses Apple’s ScreenCaptureKit to display a window you explicitly select. Captured frames pass through temporary memory only for immediate local display.
- LivePin does not record your screen or take screenshots.
- LivePin does not save, upload, transmit or analyse captured frames.
- LivePin does not perform OCR or extract text from a captured window.
- LivePin does not capture system audio or microphone audio.
Closing a pin stops its capture stream and releases its rendering resources. LivePin never resumes screen capture automatically after launch.
LivePin Pro sources
Pro can also display a website or direct video address, a file you select, or a camera you select. Website requests go directly to the website you entered through a non-persistent browser session. Files remain on your Mac. Camera video and optional background effects are processed on-device and are never recorded or transmitted by LivePin.
Purchases and licence activation
LivePin Pro purchases and licence keys are provided by Lemon Squeezy, our merchant of record. When you buy Pro, Lemon Squeezy processes your order under its own privacy policy.
When you activate or validate Pro, LivePin sends only your licence key, purchase email address, a non-personal installation identifier and licence status request to Lemon Squeezy. This is used to verify the purchase and apply the three-Mac activation limit. Screen contents, files, URLs, camera video, window names and usage activity are never included.
Local preferences
LivePin stores presentation preferences on your Mac, including opacity, pin size, shortcut, crop and layouts. A Pro layout may contain a URL or a secure bookmark to a file you explicitly selected. It never contains captured frames, file contents, cookies, passwords, forms, OCR text or camera data.
Website
livepinapp.com does not use advertising, analytics or tracking cookies. Our hosting provider may process ordinary server logs needed to deliver and secure the website. Downloading Free does not require an account.
Your choices
You can stop an active capture by closing a pin or quitting LivePin. macOS permissions can be changed in System Settings. A Pro licence can be deactivated from the app or by contacting support.
